Join us on this fantastic city break holiday to Bruges and soak up the wonderful festive atmosphere at the traditional markets in the city. With a rich array of cultural and historical sites, as well as a charming atmosphere and friendly locals, Bruges is the perfect place to spend a few days away. We’ll begin our holiday to this gorgeous Gothic city with a guided walking tour to explore some of its most famous landmarks. We’ll visit the Market Square, Bruges Town Hall, the Saint Saviour Cathedral, and the Basilica of the Holy Blood, home to the relic of Christ’s blood, with an expert, local guide. We’ll also enjoy plenty of free time to soak up the city’s festive atmosphere as we wander medieval, cobbled streets, enjoy a Belgian chocolate or beer or pick up wonderful souvenirs at the various Christmas market stalls.

On arrival in Belgium, you will be met by our local representative at the airport before being transferred to your hotel in Bruges.

Guided Tour of Bruges City
After breakfast you will be met by your guide for a tour of the city. The tour will help you to get your bearings in the city and includes a visit to the Museum of Holy Blood. Bruges is a chocolate lover's paradise, with numerous chocolate shops throughout the city. Your guide will also take you to the Brewery de Halve Maan to learn everything you need to know about beer making. Entrances and one beer tasting are included.

You will have the remainder of the day to explore the glittering Christmas Markets at your leisure. Your local guide will be happy to recommend the best areas to visit and where to shop.

Free Time in Bruges
Today you will have the full day to explore the city at your leisure and visit the Christmas market stalls in Market Place and Simon Stevin Square. You can pick up wonderful souvenirs, food, drinks, gadgets and Christmas decorations in the numerous little wooden chalets. On the Market Place you will also find an amazing ice skating rink with a huge Christmas tree and music where you can enjoy a glass of gluhwein and soak up the festive atmosphere. In front of the railway station you can find the ice sculpture festival, where you can admire ice sculptures from various world famous artists and enjoy a drink at the ice bar!

Depart Belgium
This morning you will check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight home, with guide assistance.
