Travel to Jersey & Jersey Lavendar Farm
Travel to Jersey
Today, we will meet our garden guide, Brona Dore, at Dublin airport for our direct flight to Jersey.
Jersey Lavendar Farm
On arrival we will enjoy a visit to the wonderful Lavender Farm for to learn about the growing and distillation of lavender and a visit to their fields, shop for lavender products and café before transferring to our centrally located hotel in St. Helier, the main town of Jersey and within a short walk to the beach.
We will enjoy a welcome meal together in the hotel this evening.
Le Clos du Chemin Garden, Les Aix Gardens and St. Peter’s Lifestyle and Garden Centre
Le Clos du Chemin Garden and Les Aix Gardens
Depart our hotel this morning for a visit to the private garden of Mrs Lea ‘Le Clos du Chemin’, where Mediterranean plants flourish around the house while the lower terraces have shade-loving species and a hidden Italian garden. Then we visit 'Les Aix', the garden and gallery of the artist, Ariel Whatmore, full of interesting plants and colour schemes, a maze in the form of an artist's palette and formal box hedges around an old Manor House.
St. Peter’s Lifestyle and Garden Centre
Free time for lunch in the wonderful surroundings of St. Brelade’s Bay before we visit the excellent St. Peter’s Garden & Lifestyle Centre.
Evening free to explore the restaurants of Jersey.
Free morning in St. Helier, Oaklands Garden & The Eric Young Orchid Foundation
Free morning in St. Helier
Free morning to explore the wonders of Jersey, shop in St. Helier or sunbathe and swim on a nearby beach.
Oaklands Garden & The Eric Young Orchid Foundation
We will depart our hotel in the early afternoon for a visit to Oaklands Garden with its specimen shrubs, extensive woodland and large pond. Then we will visit the Eric Young Orchid Foundation, which has one of the finest collections in the world and has won innumerable prestigious awards for its exhibits.
Evening free to explore the restaurants of St. Helier.
Domaine des Vaux Garden, Samares Manor & Garden & Creux Cottage
Domaine des Vaux Garden
Depart our hotel for a morning visit and refreshments at the lovely garden, Domaine des Vaux, the garden of Anne Binney, surrounding a traditional Jersey farmhouse, this garden consists of an intimate courtyard and terraced garden with wonderful woodland valley walks.
Samares Manor & Garden & Creux Cottage
Afternoon visit to Samares Manor and Garden; these unique gardens were created in the 1920s by millionaire shipping magnate and philanthropist, Sir James Knott. The herb garden was the inspiration of renowned garden designer and author, John Brookes. Its unique design can be best appreciated from the viewing platform high above the garden, adding an extra dimension to this unique collection of culinary, fragrant, cosmetic and medicinal plants. Free time for lunch here.
Our final visit is to one of the smallest but most interesting garden in Jersey – Creux Baillot Cottage; guided tour by the owner Judith Queree. Fascinating rare plants and uncommon varieties make this a fascinating plantsperson’s garden with so many clematis that there is one in flower every day of the year.

Following breakfast, we will check out of our hotel for our transfer to the airport and our return flight to Dublin.
